Programme

Michael Ricketts gave Leeds the lead after twenty minutes and they held it until the half-time break. At half-time they made four changes with Frazer Richardson replacing Danny Cadamarteri at Right Half, Matthew Spring taking over in midfield at Inside Left for Eirik Bakke, while Matthew Kilgallon replaced trialist Steve Guppy and another trialist, Brian Deane, took over as striker from Michael Ricketts. They made one other second half replacement with the third trialist, Craig Hignett, coming on after sixty-five minutes for Julian Joachim. Brian Deane made the game safe for Leeds when he scored with three minutes to go.
